At Provedo we set an example in our quest to develop and innovate in the worldwide agricultural sector.
Currently we are carrying out three genetic enhancement projects:
- To obtain new stone fruit varieties
- To obtain new rootstocks for fruit trees
- Clonal, genetic and health selection of the Tempranillo of high oenological quality vine in the D.O.Ca
These projects are being brought to fruit in our laboratories: the first of them in Don Benito, Extremadura, where our team are engaged in embryos rescue, fruit analysis and post-harvest research. In our second laboratory in Logroño, we conduct a wide-ranging clonal selection of Tempranillo vines and biological analysis.
