PHENOLOGY

It shoots at the same time as Tempranillo and it ripens 4-5 days later.

CLUSTER AND GRAPE

Medium, compact, cylindrical cluster. Small grapes.

PLAGUES AND DISEASES

Sensitive to botrytis and mites

AGRICULTURAL  CHARACTERISTICS

Medium fertility and productivity. Very sensitive to chlorosis. Regular irrigation required. Ripening control in warm areas is important to produce good wines for aging.

OENOLOGIC CHARACTERISTICS

High quality wines because of its high colour potential and polyphenols.
