Kerman (female)


Worldwide valued variety for the large fruit size and qualities. It is superior to others for its high sugar content, less bitterness and high nut consistency.

Very well adapted variety to central  Spain for its late blossom.

ORIGIN
Variety released in Kerwan area (Iran) by an open pollination

TREE
Medium vigour with a short young period. Production is alternate bearing.
It produces a high proportion of empty and low dehiscence fruits (mostly in drought).

BLOSSOM
Late blossom (D phase around the 3rd week of April) with 1000 hours chilling requirement.

FRUIT
Appreciated fruit for its organoleptic properties. Large, round shaped fruit, and high nut/shell yield.

Harvest time is the first week of October.
